Сербская команда регбилиг Hammers Nis («Молотки из Ниша» — Ниш это третий по величине город страны) выставлена на интернет-аукцион eBay. Выставил клуб на продажу Вук Попович, игрок, владелец и президент клуба. Позвольте привести его слова без перевода.
«My name is Vuk Popovic, I am a player, owner and president of rugby league team based in town of Nish, Serbia. Club just compleated the season in a top national division and have privilege to be part-time coached by a rugby league legend, Mr. John Risman. . . With agreement with board of directors and players of our club I decided to sell 100% of ownership to the highest bidder. Main cause is to raise funds for a club, develop a youth academy and attract more sponsors.. We are group of genuine rugby league enthusiast but our funds are limited and most of the time it is the players that pay traveling expenses etc. With a introduction of youth programs our goal is trough subscriptions to fuel the club and raise level of rugby league in Nish and Serbia. New owner of the club gets:
- legal documentation of owning a club
- right to change a club name trough re-registration with Serbian Ministry of Sports (current name is Hammers Nis)
- board seat, active role in deciding club maters
- marketing opportunities on TV, ads on our jerseys, another equipment
After just over a year since I founded this club we play in top national competition and 3 of our players play for a national team. Serbia is currently ranked 8th in Europe while constantly improving. Sport is also gaining popularity and became dominant over Yawnion or American Football. Если вкратце, то год назад они создали команду, заявились в чемпионат страны, вот сейчас доиграли его до конца. В качестве тренера у них некто «rugby league legend, Mr. John Risman» и это его не основная работа. Клуб существует на деньги участников плюс некие спонсорские вложения. Правда, в отличии от, хе-хе, московских Молотков, у сербов трое игроков выступают за сборную, а об играх команды раз в неделю рассказывают на городском телеканале. Ну и, надо думать, в раздевалку их пускают.
Затея с продажей должна помочь команде материально (одна из целей — создание детской академии). Новому владельцу предоставят возможность рекламироваться на амуниции и во время матчей, при желании поменять название клуба, а так же принимать решения о судьбе команды.
